So we had a minor crisis… it is a fake tree with lights built in and one section didn’t light up! After trying to replace the fuses and checking EACH light to no avail we decided it still looked pretty with a few extra lights.

Happy Halloween!! My oldest drew this Hello Kitty Halloween image for me… oh about a month ago. When they started getting revved up for Halloween. Finally it has arrived… the anticipation is a little out of control at my house! Holy smokes! Not to mention Dude is traveling leaving me all alone to absorb the excitement.

But they are pretty darn cute aren’t they?! Just one more night… oh then of course days of eating too much candy… but maybe we’ve already been doing that… Darn you Costco and your big bag of candy!

This craft was supposed to be for Tuesday when there is no school… but of course she couldn’t wait… nor could they wait to eat it all! Oh well… what’s a little extra candy at Halloween right?!

We had the party in June but today is the actual birthday. Hope double digits continues to be exciting for a long while!

We went to Cold Stone and I got chocolate ice cream with a Reese’s smooshed in… and then I felt guilty all day. It was tasty though… And I know someone who thoroughly enjoyed theirs with no guilt.

Happily another jog-a-thon with no rain! Yeah! #2 did nineteen laps. Good job!

It was raining quite hard so we had the BBQ in the gym. The first time it has rained on a lunch BBQ in seven years! Wow! Then of course it stopped raining…

So we went out for recess… when… you guessed it… it started to rain again! Yikes! I got points though, not too many parents stayed and stood in the rain. You can bet I pointed that out to #2 who is still sporting her sequin hat! She is in a play at school this afternoon and she is a shark… which is why she also has on the sparkly jacket. You gotta have extra sparkle for the stage!

You know when you hear that question it can only mean trouble! I got tired of being the candy ref so I just let it go…

It was a little chilly… but no rain. Yeah!
