Halloween is happening…

Just a few last minute costume fixes this morning and some batty origami to decorate the locker. (I know… how early are we all getting up?! You probably don’t want to know!
) Everyone got off to school in a festive spirit! Yeah! Now if we can just all hold it together until Sunday. My youngest gets soooo excited about these holidays that she exhausts us all!

What a good Dad… he dressed up just to take #2 to school.
Easter candy

Happy Easter!! I see upset stomachs in our future… don’t you?!
Valentine’s Day
What really matters on Valentine’s Day are the cards from my family of course!
Dude did a good job and got me a very nice necklace… okay, I got myself a nice necklace and put his name on it.
Whatever right?! Happily I don’t need him to prove anything and it is a good excuse to justify a new $15 purchase. Gotta love those Hallmark holidays!
Phase one?

Woohoo! I took advantage of the nice sunny day and got our holiday lights up. I had forgotten that I bought a huge snowman last year! Yeah for me.
Although I got the lights up, I feel like some of the candy canes are not working great and I need to buy my one new addition for this year. Hmmmm …. just what should that be?! Guess I better go scope out the latest in Christmas lights to see what I should add. Of course once I add the new item I’ll update you with “phase two” of lighting for project Holiday 2009!
I just love Christmas lights!!
Halloween family

Yesterday the kids got to dress up for Halloween parties at school. Dude was a great Dad and drove them to school in his costume! What a guy… Then last night we had a spooky Halloween party for the girls and today I feel like Halloween should be done, but of course it isn’t. There is still trick-or-treating on Saturday. Oh joy, lots of tempting candy to thwart my exercise efforts… sigh… Oh well, time to boost up my self-control I guess!
I am thankful!
We had an awesome day of thanks! I hope that you did too…
The farm
The farm was great. It was my first, and probably last, year doing the corn maze. We have decided the kids can manage it just fine alone and next year we are going to sit out in front with coffee in hand while the kids do all the running!
Happy fourth!
Just a few photos from our day… click the pics for a better view. It was very nice holiday, my youngest paced herself nicely which certainly made it more fun, she only asked “When are we lighting the fireworks?” about 20 times which was pretty good for a six year old. Remember this project? Well it sort of went up in flames as part of our festivites… That would be DH running amok with matches.
Happy Mother's day!

Mine is off to a great start… I got some wonderful artwork and a few haiku poems…
“Mother’s Day”
Gifts for your mother,
She is totally awesome.
No day is better.
“Mom”
Beadmaker that is great!
Cares for the whole family.
She is just awesome!
Oh and yesterday DH gave me a rented truck driving away full of stuff to Goodwill and then another truck full of stuff to the dump. Now that makes me happy!
Hope that you are having a great Mother’s day if you are a mom… especially if you are my mom!!
