I got the morning craft project started, polymer clay minions. We saw Despicable Me last night and it was great. Now I’ve got my healthy child making her own minions while my sick child is napping. You know they are sick when they nap before lunch. The doctor is scheduled for this afternoon but I still seem to find myself worrying about her… Clearly I need to get myself distracted so I better go make some beads and of course I’ll be back tomorrow with new goodies, and hopefully a healthier child!

I forgot to take a photo when it read 104! Crap! My oldest has been illin’ for the past few days and Dude is also under the weather… and we all know how THAT goes… Needless to say I feel like between keeping track of medicine schedules and saying “poor little bunny” to everyone I’m pooped and not getting much else done. Oh well… happily I think we are though the worst of it. Somehow being sick in the summer just seems even more unpleasant…

Of course we went all out. I told them to look fierce because the smiling wasn’t working… too early in the morning I guess. Ha! I think we succeeded with the crazy part.

Empty yard!

So we have had this jungle of an overgrown yard for quite awhile and we finally decided to tidy it up. We took out some dying bushes and a big tree that was growing through the middle of the yard. I think we’ll plant a tree somewhere else just to keep the karma good, but I’m pretty excited about how empty it looks! Next we need to take out the ugly chain link fences and put in one nice fence along the back of the yard. Oh, and that big concrete block is leftover from a Japanese garden that was here oh so long ago… I’m not sure what we are going to do with that… Anyway, we are making progress! Change is good!

We survived our rafting excursion. I had to take disposable cameras because they needed to be waterproof so I don’t have any photos to share… but I will! It was a fun trip as a family and I think my girls will remember it for quite awhile. Okay, off to get my pics developed!
