I tried yoga with a friend for the first time yesterday. It was interesting… We did this move called chatarunga which is basically a push-up. Through the whole class I kept thinking… great word! I’ve got to remember that! So when I get out could I remember it? No! All I could recall is chimichonga… not quite the same thing.

Now this one I just finished… I thought I better put it up before I forgot about it too. You can see the whole quilt coming together over here.

I say it every year… The time flies! We have our first teenager. Happy Birthday Lil’ D!

I just love all the fabrics at my local quilt shop. I keep finding prints that inspire me which means I have to do something with them… namely… make purses! Not to mention I am in love with adding zippers everywhere. I used to be afraid of zippers but not now. In this latest hobo purse I put in three zippers and a pocket. After it was done I wished that the pocket was just another zipper. Ha!

On a glass note, you might be happy to know that DH got the WiFi working in my shop. (Can you believe I was living without it? No web access was certainly a bummer. It makes me so happy that he got it to work… he is so smart!) I should be out making beads again any day now. Alas… I guess I’ll have to take a short purse break.

I made it to midnight… central time! I think everyone else stayed up… playing video games… Hope your New Year looks full of possibility!

I took a nice walk through Hendricks Park this morning and the fog in the forest was beautiful, sometimes I just love Oregon. I also got to geek out with my new Bluetooth headphones. If you might want some wireless headphones, and really who doesn’t?! I certainly recommend this set… They will be great to wear while I make beads! No more keeping my music close and worrying about it getting hit with hot glass. Then of course I wore my fitbit while I walked and I discoverd that walking through the hills of Hendricks Park is like walking up 54 flights of steps! Yeah for me!
