Oh how I love these design boards that I made! They work especially well for sampler quilts with no plan. 😉 I just pick a block and whip it out with my Accuquilt cutter because we all know, if I can use a gadget I will! I finally figured out how the cutting dies work together, and lets just say that I did it without any help from the website which I think is a mess. One of these days I’m gonna write up instructions that are logical, to me anyway. Ha!
Happy Mother’s Day to all moms and mom like peeps! We had a nice breakfast out. I got everyone to get up and out of the house by 7:30 so we could be at the restaurant before it was crowded… now that is love!
Then I was surprised (not) with this fabulous gift! A Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch because I love gadgets. I’m still figuring out how it works which makes me happy… I can still figure crap out! Woot! It seems pretty amazing so far. It synced right away with my phone and had no moments during installation where I was like… Crap! This cost enough so it should be easy! Always a win.
The Delilah organizer over at my LQS is so smart! She found these on the web and told us they might be helpful in piecing our Delilah quilt. They are of course awesome. I don’t know how many times I have lost a piece of fabric from a block as I make piles to sew in my studio. This is a great way to keep everything in order, which I love to do. Also, I just happened to have all the materials lying around my house to make these design boards. Whipping them up was very satisfying. 🙂
