Foxglove at dusk.

I’m working on beads for tomorrow… as well as taking close-up pictures of flowers.
Art in the park.
Everyone has track fever… we had a small celebration in a local park with free ice cream (the real draw) so of course we had to stop by. A local artisan made track figures out of wood and there was a band. The kids had a blast!
For profit update…
So apparently they did make a profit… They sold 22 cans of soda and 5 cans are MIA… or so Dude says, somehow I imagine a few sodas were consumed during the selling process.
Yeah for the kids, they made a little cash and had lots of fun!
We are for profit.

The olympic trials for track are in town this weekend and of course everyone is out to make a buck… including my kids I guess. They have wanted to have a lemonade stand forever and Dude though peddling soda at the trials would be a great idea. Hopefully it works out… As they walked away they were chatting about how they were a “for profit” company as opposed to a “not for profit” company… I’ll let you know if there is any profit. Happily the downside is just lots of soda in the house which will no doubt make the kids happy.
Home again…
After a yummy breakfast…

and a quick bike ride…

we drove home to Eugene. Another great vacation comes to a close…
Canoe trip.
Along with the regular activities of swimming and biking, today we decided to go on a canoe trip down the Deschutes river. It was a very nice family moment, the kids did great, DH and I actually paddled nicely, all in all it was a success. Tomorrow we head home and everyone is sad about that!
Friends at Sunriver.
Friends came to visit, and aside from swimming, biking, and eating lots… we went to the High Desert Museum, the Lave Cast Forest, and Benham Falls… It was a busy, but fun, couple of days!
Ahhh…

Ahhh…. We are just having lazy days of sun and swimming… I simply love it here! And yes, I’m running a little amok with my new macro lens, I still need to figure out where I’m going to put the many photos that I have taken.
I think, as with the beads, that I am just intrigued by small delights, or things that draw you in…
Flowrider
Woohoo! We had to try… okay, my family tried it while I was the video-mom. They said it was lots of fun.
We made it!

You always know you are in Eastern Oregon when you start to see pine cones everywhere! We made it and I am so happy to be on vacation.
