Big sledding fun!
We drove in crazy ice conditions, had to chain up, and the kids started asking “How much longer?” about thirty minutes into what turned out to be a three hour drive… Would I do it again?! Of course! It is our annual trip to the snow, next year we might even get crazy and stay overnight, the girls seem to think they need to learn to ski. Anyway, it was a great way to spend the last day of 2007. Happy New Year everyone!!
Busy cleaning up!

So we decided to get rid of our big wood stove and an old freezer in the basement. DH has gone a little a little nuts with a power meter by testing a bunch of appliances in our house to see what is using too much power. He decided that the freezer in our basement was costing us a whopping $100 a year to run so he wanted to unplug it. I of course said no way, if it is unplugged, it goes. We decided to call 1-800-GOTJUNK and they took our stuff away and saved our backs! Woohoo! In the spirit of change we kept on going and found some new unfinished furniture that we liked. After many hours of staining we now have three new desks in our family room. It looks very nice… My back is still feeling the staining process, I guess I’m just getting old…
Farewell to another holiday season…

We had a great holiday, my kids are happy to see the Christmas clock packed up. I love it, but no one else in the house seems to share my sentiment…
YOJ – Peace Pendant
I’m still chugging along on my YOJ project. It doesn’t look like I’ll get 52 pieces in for the year, but I’m pretty close.
You can see all my pieces from this year here.
Mom's meeting.
Of course I had to share a little video of my friends… I’ve know these gals since we all had babies about 9 years ago! WOW! So I know that they won’t get too upset that I put them in my blog… they look so happy! We had our lunch meeting today at pizza and all the kids ran amok in the OTHER room, it was very nice. I’m glad I have such great friends.
Ice skating.
Today my youngest wanted to try ice skating. Happily, ice skating is easier than roller skating so there was lots of success… even DH got out on the ice for the very first time…
Expect more video, I’m just having so much fun with my little flip video camera!
Have a wonderful holiday.
Since I’m finally getting my decorations up I thought that I should add a little holiday color here as well…
I hope that your holiday is filled with lots of family and friends!
Glass ornament

You know I just really can’t get into the season early. Every year I think I should start making Christmas stuff in October and I just can’t do it. True to form, as Christmas approaches I’ve been thinking how nice it would be to have some glass ornaments… so yesterday I was playing around a bit and I made this cute little girl. I think I need to take a class to learn how to make bigger boro ornaments… maybe next year.
We got the tree up.

Here is a shot of an ornament I made as a kid… we still are using our silver tree which I love! It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
Propeller fun.

I had fun taking pics on the little puddle jumper plane that I flew from San Francisco to Monterey. I won’t have any beads tommorrow… I still don’t have my tree up and other holiday engagements are beginning to take all my time so I just decided to give in and enjoy it. I hope that you are having some fun festivities too!!
