So the Dude took the kiddos away with his family for the holiday weekend. This means I get a nice quiet house to pad about in! Woohoo! I’ve got a book and some decaf to keep me company tonight and I’m lovin’ it!

Ironically we left cool California for the heat of Oregon. Go figure! I’m all unpacked and almost ready to light the torch again… I did manage to mix it up a bit by updating the layout to my store. Hopefully everything is still where you expect it to be… I was way overdue for some layout changes don’t ya’ think?!

Yikes! It was 104 degrees when we rolled into Red Bluff… Needless to say even I got in the pool today!

Today we went for our last trip to the beach. The girls ran about in the waves a bit and got to watch a few seals swim past. Tomorrow we get back in the car for our drive home. It has been a great trip.

Since I’ll be driving tomorrow I won’t be adding any new beads to the Mart until next week.

Today we went to a small fair out in the country to just check it out and out of the blue there was a spontaneous tractor parade. I guess you just never know what to expect when you go on a little country adventure.

Today the kiddos got to run amok at the beach. They just love the water! It was a fine day.

So today was the big day at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. My kids had a blast! I rode a few rides, my oldest rode a few, and my youngest was fearless… oh the gray hairs I see in my future! (Okay, not really because we all know I’ll never let my real color show! Ha!) Happily Grandma was there to help manage all the excitement and take a few photos. What a great day!!

What can I say, we had room in the van so we brought the horse. It sort of reminds me of those gnomes people photographed in different locations… maybe we should take it with us everywhere and photograph it! And we are off for another day of driving…

After a long day in the car the girls got a nice time in the pool.

A quick highlight and we are off… What can I say, my girls see my crazy hair and they want to get in on the fun, I figure a few blonde streaks never hurt anyone. Wish me luck in the car for five hours…

Oh yeah… I hope to have beads next week… we’ll have to see how this trip goes!
