Just poppin’ in to say enjoy the holiday weekend!! I’ll be back next week.

You know if I make it once, I’ll make it at least ten times! So here is the second spiral chain necklace. I took those cocoa swirls from the Mart and put them into this piece. I even got fancy and put french wire on the ends! Woohoo! Anyway, just thought I’d share. We are finally getting some sunshine here and I’m startin’ to enjoy summer, hope that you are too!!

No new auction today, maybe tomorrow. Today I’m going to share one of my big ol’ lentil focals that I made, I’m thinking that it might look great on a spiral rope. I’m having lots of fun playing with some of the new glass and shards that I recently purchased. I’m also sharing some polymer beads that I made for a special project. Ya’ know, polymer just doesn’t get its props! I really like these beads! They have such vibrant colors and the designs are just fun… IMHO! Anyhoo, hope you are having a great week.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! It has been gray and rainy here which is rather unusual for this late in June!! My kids will be true Oregonians however, as they are going to swim lessons even with the afternoon sprinkles… lets hope the rain from earlier today doesn’t return! But hey, wet is wet right! They won’t mind. Happily enough I don’t take them, their wonderful grandparents do so I get to go make some beads. Heehee… Anyway, here is my latest necklace. The rope it hangs on is a spiral chain which I LOVE MAKING! It is super simple to do and goes rather fast! The focal is hung on softflex which is crimped at the bottom and then covered with a crimp cover. How easy is that?! I’m kinda into making this style of necklace so I’ve been making a few focals, I even got the 1.25″ lentil press which I love!! I can remember when I first started making beads how I thought “How can anyone make beads THAT big?!” Now I can’t stop myself…. Anyway, hope you are off to a great week.

Just a quick note… The Earth Bazaar is having a sale on chalcedony. I have bought some chalcedony from them and really liked it. Some of the prices seem quite reasonable to me so I’ll be getting a few fun shapes. Just thought you might need some for YOUR stash too!! Heehee. ALSO… did you miss beads in the Mart today? Since it is SUMMER I might be able to re-make a set, or eek 8O… even take an order or two. Now is definately the time to ask if you have been wantin’ something in particular because come September I’ll probably be crazy chasing after my girlies again! Okay, off to get beads ready to mail. I also thought today I’d share my latest woven bracelet… just to show you that smilies can work in jewelry! Heehee…
